This is a builder-basic townhome for a young married couple with two large dogs. They’ve recently looked to begin making changes to their living room so that it better reflected their style and was more suitable for hosting. Our clients are handy and big into DIY, needing just a bit of help to ensure that their design and colour palette for their DIY built-in shelves would be cohesive and a great starting point for renovating the rest of their home.

Keeping a very neutral palette, leaning into a warmer beige, helps to bring out more warmth into this north-facing living room.
